Leadership and Teamwork:
Collaborate with the General Manager to keep the business on track and drive it forward.
Roll up your sleeves and take charge of the transport side of things – we need someone with a bit of get-up-and-go.
Lead the transport crew, including drivers, ensuring everyone’s on the same page and pulling their weight.
Jump in and lend a hand when needed – no job is too big or small.
Building Connections:

Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring top-notch service and addressing any issues promptly.
Represent the company at industry events and build a solid reputation as a trusted operator.
Financial and Resource Management:

Help with budgeting and make sure the numbers stack up.
Compliance and Safety:
Lead from the front when it comes to health and safety – it’s non-negotiable.
Maintain accurate records for compliance, vehicle maintenance, and incident reporting.
Adaptability and Problem Solving:
Tackle challenges head-on and come up with practical solutions.
Stay flexible and ready to adapt to changing demands – no two days are the same.
Qualifications and Experience:
NZQA or industry-recognised qualifications in transport management or logistics are preferred.
A solid understanding of NZTA regulations and compliance.
Class 4 and Class 5 truck licences (essential). Endorsements for oversize loads or specialised transport would be a bonus.
Hands-on experience in transport operations, ideally in oversized/over-dimension transport or heavy haulage.
Confident using transport management systems and tech to streamline operations.
