Contractor required for a large transformation project within financial services

Responsibilities

As a Senior Azure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure, with expertise in AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and knowledge of deploying or implementing Immuta as a container.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions on Azure.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions.
  • Manage and orchestrate containerized applications using AKS.
  • Deploy and implement Immuta as a container within the Azure environment.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Azure services.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Functions and AKS.
  • Experience with PCI compliance and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with deploying or implementing Immuta as a container.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networking and security principles.
