Proficient in the use of WMS, TMS, Salesforce and SAP

Have a sound understanding of Transport compliance and regulations.

Experience managing and influencing large teams.

Understanding of financial metrics and PNL

Negotiation skills as pertains to carrier and supplier management

Be a trusted contributor to the LNI Leadership team and influence decision-making for the best business outcomes

A champion in all aspects of health and safety – with sound understanding of OSH regulations, food safety and DC hazards

Responsibilities

To ensure the efficient and effective leadership, and data integrity of a designated department/s through constant forward planning, organising, change management, direction and control.

Ensure that all operational departments are resourced, run efficiently and are regularly being reviewed for continual improvement.

Maintain operation within budgeted constraints – challenging what can be done smarter.

To ensure standards are delivered across all Key Result Areas through direct leadership of team leaders and ensuring close collaboration to deliver customer service with all other key stakeholders

Promote a People First Culture ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Foodstuffs North Island Ltd policies and procedures, Safety Plan and / or other procedures implemented, including current legislative requirements, to the prescribed delivery standard.

You will be the leader of the team encouraging them to work as one and be the best they can be, building on and encouraging a high level of engagement

You will review performance of the team to maintain operational performance in a cost-effective way, as well as ensuring that your team have a voice and their concerns or issues are actioned or escalated.

You will be the driving force around our service and guiding the operational excellence of our business, often challenging the status quo

• You will have already vast industry knowledge but will continue to develop on this expertise and knowledge around the Foodstuffs network within our operations.
